So 2017 is here, and your New Year’s resolution to get in shape is here right along with it. You had the same resolution last year, and what happened? You joined the gym, went three times, realized you hated the gym, went home and watched Netflix while eating a block of cheese. I don’t blame you. Cheese and Netflix rules. The gym is only slightly better than a kidney stone.
The best exercise regimen is the one you’re actually going to do consistently. Unless you’re one of those fight-through-the-pain, self-discipline-at-all-costs people, that takes a lot of workouts off the table.
Running? Running is great, until it isn’t — which is every time it rains, it’s cold, or you just don’t feel like it.
How about swimming? Of course swimming is great for you. Have you ever seen a swimmer? The problem is, you don’t have a pool, which means you have to get in the car and drive to a disgusting public pool or wait for a lane at the gym pool, and we’ve already discussed our feelings on the gym.
If only there were a way to bring a scaled-down pool with temperature control and a current inside of your house so you didn’t have to go anywhere and you could have fun doing it every day.
I think you see where we’re going with this…
You want to stick with your resolution this year? Get yourself a swim spa.
It doesn’t depend on the weather, you don’t have to get in the car, it’s not a lot to maintain and, that’s right, it’s fun. Swimming is the ultimate workout, and now you can do it in the comfort of your own home.
You still get to eat cheese and watch Netflix, but now you can take a break every few episodes and do some laps.
